The story so far.

I'm Patrick — a software engineer and computer science student from Dublin, Ireland. I got my first HubSpot internship in freshman year, came back for a second, and along the way went from building an internal billing tool to carrying on-call responsibilities on distributed FinTech systems handling Kafka, HBase, and Vitess.

Outside of work I build products end to end: an AI resume-tailoring SaaS with real billing, a shoppable video platform for iOS, an algorithm visualizer used by 100+ people learning DSA. I like the whole arc — the idea, the architecture, the shipping, and the telling of the story afterwards.

That last part became its own thing. I run PKodes, a YouTube channel where I do mock coding and system design interviews with engineers from Apple, Meta, Google, and Netflix. It started as a way to get better at interviews; it turned into a community of people breaking into tech together.

In 2026 I was selected for Y Combinator's Startup School in Paris and an invite-only Google Algorithms Workshop in Dublin, where I placed top 20 in the day's coding assessment. The long-term ambition is to build something of my own.

When I'm not building, I'm dancing, playing basketball with DCU, or hanging out with Redbrick and Afrosoc. Before tech paid the bills, I led matchday teams at the Aviva Stadium — which taught me more about staying calm under pressure than any incident channel ever has.
