I use AI as my interviewer, not as a solution generator. It's the closest thing to a real round you can get at 11pm on a Tuesday.
How I set it up
I tell it to play a strict interviewer:
- Give me a problem.
- Withhold hints unless I ask for one.
- Push back on my approach.
Getting scored
At the end, I have it score me on what real interviewers look at:
- Communication
- Problem solving
- Time and space complexity
- How I handle edge cases
Use voice mode
I use voice mode, so I'm actually talking it through instead of typing. That's the whole point: practising the interview, not just the problems. More on why in Communication.
